US Futures were trading nearly 1% higher Tuesday as sentiment improved after US President Donald Trump announced a ceasefire between Israel and Iran for 12 hours.
However, Israel and Iran have not confirmed it.
The S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial Average were trading 0.96% and 0.89% higher, respectively. The Nasdaq 100 was 0.94% higher as of 7:21 a.m.
On Monday, US stocks ended higher as Iran's missile attack on US military base is seen as symbolic rather than cue to intensify the conflict between Iran and Israel.
The GIFT Nifty was trading 0.43% or 107 points higher at 25,157 as of 6:50 a.m., which implied a higher open for the NSE Nifty 50.
Traders may keep an eye on Cochin Shipyard Ltd., Larsen & Toubro Ltd., Tata Motors Ltd., and H.G. Infra Engineering Ltd. shares in Tuesday's session.
The benchmark indices ended lower on Monday despite recovering from the sharp intraday lows that were triggered by the escalating geopolitical tensions.
The Nifty 50 closed 0.55% lower at 24,975.10, while the BSE Sensex ended 0.61% lower at 81,907.15.
