27/08/26, Stocks To Watch. .From significant investments to major deals, quarterly earnings, order wins, and appointments here's a quick look at which stocks will be in focus in today's trade:

ICICI Prudential AMC

Prudential Corporation Holdings plans to sell a 2% stake in ICICI Prudential AMC to meet minimum public shareholding (MPS) norms, with the offer size at Rs 3,121 crore, reports CNBC-TV18, quoting sources. The total promoter shareholding stood at 87.6%, including Prudential Corporation's 34.59% stake, as of June 2026.

Foseco India

Morganite Crucible and Morgan Terrassen BV are likely to exit Foseco India by selling their entire 15.27% stake through a block deal. The offer size is pegged at Rs 664.4 crore, with a floor price of Rs 5,773.63 per share, reports CNBC-TV18, quoting sources.


Aye Finance

Alpha Wave India I LP is likely to sell its entire 7.8% stake in Aye Finance through a block deal, with the offer size at Rs 320.4 crore and a floor price of Rs 167 per share, reports CNBC-TV18, quoting sources.

Fino Payments Bank

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has approved the extension of tenure of Ketan Merchant as Interim CEO of Fino Payments Bank, for a further period of three months effective August 27, 2026 or till the date of taking charge of regular MD & CEO, whichever is earlier.

IRB Infrastructure Developers

The Board of Directors of the company has approved an investment of up to Rs 351 crore in the units of IRB InvIT Fund through subscription to a preferential issue proposed to be undertaken by IRB InvIT Fund.

The company proposes to acquire up to 5.4 crore additional units of IRB InvIT Fund at Rs 65 per unit.

IRB InvIT Fund is raising funds to acquire two project SPVs from IRB Infrastructure Trust, a privately placed, listed infrastructure investment trust.


Bharat Electronics

BEL has secured additional orders worth Rs 730 crore since August 10. Major orders received include communication equipment, radar, avionics, tank sub-systems, electro-optics, cybersecurity, perimeter security, medical electronics, EVMs, jammers, batteries, spares and services.


Max Healthcare Institute

The company's subsidiary, Alps Hospital, has received a show-cause-cum-demand notice from the Directorate General of Goods & Services Tax Intelligence (DGGI), Mumbai, alleging a GST demand of Rs 165.7 crore, including a penalty of Rs 110.47 crore.


Vedanta

Vedanta Resources, the parent company of Vedanta, has denied recent media speculation regarding a purported sale of its shareholding in Vedanta, Vedanta Aluminium or any other Vedanta group company. It confirmed that there is currently no such plan to sell any stake.

The company remains focused on growth and full value unlocking, anchored by its landmark demerger into five focused, world-class companies, an ambitious growth capex pipeline, a strong deleveraging track record and consistent shareholder returns, reports PTI.

Bulk & Block Deals


Physicswallah

Lightspeed Opportunity Fund II LP exited PhysicsWallah by selling its entire 4.67 crore equity shares, representing a 1.61% stake, for Rs 549.73 crore. The shares were sold at Rs 117.72 per share.

ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley Asia Singapore, Societe Generale, Citigroup Global Markets Mauritius, Viridian Asia Opportunities Master Fund, Safra Sarasin Fund Management SA, Ghisallo Master Fund, Mediolanum International Funds, New York State Teachers Retirement System, OP-India Fund and Tata AIA Life Insurance Company were among the buyers in the block deals.


Rubicon Research

General Atlantic Singapore RR Pte Ltd sold 1.38 crore equity shares, representing 8.37% of Rubicon Research's paid-up equity, for Rs 2,291.61 crore. The foreign promoter, which held a 35.83% stake in Rubicon Research as of June 2026, sold the shares at Rs 1,660 apiece through block deals to 10 domestic and global institutional investors.


Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund, NomURA India Investment Fund Mother Fund, HDFC AMC, ICICI Prudential AMC, SBI Mutual Fund, VEMF-A LP, Axis MF, TIMF Holdings, Aranda Investments and PI Opportunities AIF V LLP were the buyers of all the shares sold by General Atlantic in Rubicon Research.

Billionbrains Garage Ventures Groww

Ribbit Capital V LP sold 6.31 crore equity shares of Billionbrains Garage Ventures for Rs 1,238.1 crore at Rs 196 per share. Ribbit Cayman GW Holdings V also offloaded 4.99 crore shares at Rs 196.06 apiece, valued at Rs 979.16 crore.

Together, the two entities sold 11.31 crore shares, representing 1.8% of Billionbrains Garage Ventures' paid-up equity, for a total of Rs 2,217.3 crore. As of June 2026, Ribbit Cayman GW Holdings V and Ribbit Capital V LP held stakes of 4.46% and 5.64%, respectively, in the Groww parent.


Welspun Corp

Promoter Welspun Investments and Commercials sold 60 lakh shares, representing 2.27% of Welspun Corp's paid-up equity, at Rs 2,275.30 apiece, taking the transaction value to Rs 1,365.2 crore. Separately, Vipul Mathur, Managing Director and CEO of Welspun Corp, sold 3 lakh shares, or a 0.11% stake, for Rs 68.3 crore. Their combined stake sold stood at 2.38%.

Capital Group, through 14 schemes, acquired an additional 47.84 lakh shares, representing a 1.81% stake in Welspun Corp, for Rs 1,088.6 crore. Aberdeen Group, through six schemes, bought 6.62 lakh shares, or a 0.25% stake, for Rs 150.76 crore.

Quant Mutual Fund, Quant Small Cap Fund, Edelweiss Life Insurance Company and Edelweiss Mutual Fund were among the other buyers of shares sold by the promoter in Welspun Corp.


Viyash Scientific

Promoters CA Hull Investments and CA Harbor Investments, owned by global investment firm The Carlyle Group, sold 4.75 crore equity shares in Viyash Scientific for Rs 1,259.4 crore at different prices. The stake sold by Carlyle was equivalent to 10.88% of the company's paid-up equity.

Carlyle Group held a 61.31% stake in the company as of June 2026.

Of the stake sold by Carlyle, 1.08 crore shares were bought by six investors — Kotak Mahindra AMC, Bandhan MF, Edelweiss MF, Panvira India Innovation Fund, S Gupta Homes and Aagam Investments.

Gaja Alternative Asset Management

Invesco Mutual Fund has acquired an additional 85.95 lakh shares, representing 6.09% of the paid-up equity, in Gaja Capital for Rs 157.8 crore. As per the latest shareholding pattern after the IPO closure, Invesco India Financial Services Fund held a 1.71% stake in the company, taking its total shareholding to 7.8%.

Avenue Supermarts

Capital Group-owned American Funds Insurance Series Global Growth and Income Fund sold 67.64 lakh shares, representing a 1.03% stake, in Avenue Supermarts (DMART) for Rs 2,537.12 crore at Rs 3,750.58 per share.


Standard Engineering Technology

Amansa Holding offloaded an additional 11.58 lakh shares in Standard Engineering Technology at Rs 324.60 per share, valued at Rs 37.59 crore.


TCC Concept

Goldman Sachs Asia Strategic sold 4.04 lakh shares in TCC Concept for Rs 10.46 crore at Rs 258.48 per share
